Women's Basketball Drops Final Road Contest
Cobleskill, N.Y. - With the regular season winding down the SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team closed the home portion of their schedule out on Wednesday evening by defeating visiting Cazenovia College 57-37.The victory evens the Fighting Tigers season record at 12-12 overall and moves them to 11-10 in the NEAC while the visitors from Cazenovia, N.Y. fall to 6-18 overall with a 6-15 mark in league play.
Cobleskill sophomore center/forward Kaitlin Myers (Dannemora, N.Y.) posted a double/double on the evening with a team leading 17 points to go with 10 rebounds and five steals.
Megan McDermott (Greene, N.Y.) scored a team high 13 points for Cazenovia, but was the only player to reach double figures.
The Wildcats will be back in action this Saturday in their season finale. Cazenovia will be hosting NEAC foe SUNY IT with a start time of 12:00 p.m.
