Swimming and diving takes first and third at SUNY Delhi Invitational



The Cazenovia College women's swimming and diving team took a first place finish at SUNY Delhi on Saturday December 1.  The Wildcats finished with a score of 223.  The men's swimming and diving team finished third out of 4 teams as they finished with a score of 45.

Senior Jenni Uplinger and junior Katherine Meehan both continued their strong weekend at Delhi as both swimmers finished first in two events.  Uplinger would take first in the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 2:14.73 and 5:31.46.  She would also place second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time 1:17.74.  Meehan would place first in the 100-yard freestyle and the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:05.87 and 1:18.13.

Sophomore Amy Bubb would finish first for the Wildcats in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 29.38.  Senior Cassondra Henry would place second in the 100-yard freestyle just behind Meehan, with a time of 1:10.75.

For the second day in a row, senior Connor Yorks would place first in the 500-yard freestyle for the Wildcats as he finished with a time of 6:37.05.

The Wildcats return to action on Saturday December 8th when they travel to Cedar Crest for a two day event.
