Wildcats Fall Short Against Utica



The Cazenovia College women's swimming and diving team was unable to take down Utica College as they dropped their second home meet 142-90.  The Cazenovia College men's swimming and diving team was unable to get by Utica College as they fell 142-36.

The Wildcats started things off with a win as sophomore Amy Bubb, junior Katherine Meehan, senior Jenni Uplinger, and senior Cassondra Henry placed first in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:54.65.  Meehan would continue to swim strong the rest of the night, as she would go on to place first in 3 individual events. 
She would take first in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:15.43 and 2:50.91.  Meehan would also pick up a first place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:02.80.

The Wildcats would also have two other swimmers pick up first place finishes.  Bubb would take first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:12.47 and came up just short in the 200-yard backstroke as she finished second with a time of 2:36.16.  Uplinger grabbed first place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:54.05, while placing second in the 200-yard butterfly.

Senior Connor Yorks picked up a first place finish for the Men's Swimming and Diving team as he won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 6:37.19.

The Wildcats return to action on Saturday December 1 when they travel to SUNY Delhi.
